THE ROLE:
The Director, Sales Compensation & Performance will build and steward compensation frameworks that drive performance, fairness, and business alignment. This leader will balance quantitative rigor with commercial insight to create scalable, transparent incentive programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and evolve role-based sales compensation plans that support strategic priorities and KPI/scorecard frameworks.
- Partner with the Sales Strategy & Territory leader to ensure that quota frameworks and capacity models are reflected appropriately in plan mechanics.
- Lead compensation modeling and analytics, including scenario analysis, cost projections, and ongoing monitoring of pay-for-performance outcomes and equity.
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations for plan and program changes ahead of each planning cycle.
- Partner with Sales Ops and Finance on commission administration rules, dispute governance, and transparency of earnings for sales teams
- Deliver ongoing analysis of incentive program performance and recommend optimisation plans
REQUIREMENTS:
- Compensation Plan Design & Administration: Expert-level experience designing and administering compensation and incentive models, specifically in SaaS / Software companies
- Financial Modeling & Data Analysis: Strong capability in financial forecasting, business planning, territory and quota design, and scenario modeling
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent communicator and collaborator who can influence Sales Leadership, HR, and Finance with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of Sales Operations, Performance Management, and Reward systems.
- Should understand the complexity of larger organisations with multiple divisions
- Understands Subscription business models and software business dynamics
