We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Commercial Excellence to drive data driven management operating rhythm, sales effectiveness, operational rigor, and continuous improvement across our global sales organization. Reporting to the CRO, this executive will lead a high-impact team responsible for business development strategy, sales analytics and reporting, sales compensation management, sales and marketing technology, and sales enablement. The VP of Commercial Excellence will be instrumental in shaping our go-to-market approach, optimizing processes, and enabling our sales teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development Strategy

  • Lead market segmentation, territory design, and sales planning to ensure optimal coverage and resource allocation.
  • Develop and execute long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate growth objectives into actionable sales plans and revenue targets

Sales Analytics and Reporting

  • Standardize and document sales processes, pipeline management, and workflow automation across the global sales organization.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, report on KPIs, and provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making and accurate forecasting
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency and process excellence to drive scalable growth

Sales Compensation Management

  • Design and implement sales incentive plans and compensation programs that drive desired behaviors and results.
  • Oversee quota setting, attainment tracking, and performance monitoring for all sales teams.
  • Provide transparency and real-time insights into sales performance, enabling timely interventions and coaching

Sales & Marketing Technology

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of CRM and sales technology tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration of sales tools to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the sales process.
  • Leverage automation and AI-driven insights to empower sales teams and support strategic decision-making

Sales Enablement

  • Lead the development and delivery of training, onboarding, and continuous skills improvement programs for sales teams.
  • Develop and maintain sales playbooks, best practices, and enablement resources to ensure consistent execution.
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and high performance across the commercial organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, or sales leadership within the software or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of driving sales transformation, operational excellence, and revenue growth in a global environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
