YOUR ROLE
As our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing a global marketing vision that accelerates growth, strengthens our brand, and positions us as a leader in the AEC software industry. We are seeking a data driven, highly accomplished, internationally experienced marketing executive with a proven track record of fueling growth on a global scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Global Marketing Strategy: Develop, own, and implement a comprehensive, multi-year global marketing strategy fully aligned with the company’s business objectives. Ensure the strategy drives sustainable growth, increases brand equity, and positions the company as an industry thought leader.
- Brand Leadership: Define, evolve, and safeguard the global brand identity. Ensure consistent, impactful brand positioning and messaging across all markets and channels, tailored to regional and cultural nuances.
- Executive Team Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and C-level peers (e.g., CSO, CFO, CTO), ensuring seamless integration of marketing, sales, product, and technology strategies for maximum business impact.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing, diverse global marketing organization. Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and data-driven decision-making at all levels.
- Market Intelligence & Innovation: Oversee global market research, customer insights, and competitor analysis. Anticipate trends, identify new growth opportunities, and drive continuous innovation in marketing approaches and technologies.
- Integrated Campaigns: Oversee the planning and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, events, PR, content, industry networks) that drive demand, engagement, and conversion worldwide.
- Budget & Performance Management: Own the global marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximum ROI. Establish KPIs and deliver regular, data-driven performance reports to the executive team and board.
- Sales Enablement & Demand Generation: Partner with Sales and Product to develop and execute global demand generation and sales enablement strategies, including tailored programs for key markets and customer segments.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners, associations, and influencers to enhance the company’s visibility, reputation, and market access.
- Corporate Representation: Represent the company at major global industry events, conferences, and with key clients and stakeholders, serving as a visible ambassador for the brand.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Extensive Experience: At least 15 years of progressive marketing leadership, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior executive (C-level) role in the AEC or software industry, managing large international teams and budgets.
- Global Perspective: Demonstrated success in developing and executing global marketing strategies, with deep understanding of regional market dynamics, customer behavior, and regulatory environments.
- Strategic Vision: Exceptional strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of translating market insights into actionable, innovative marketing initiatives that drive measurable business results.
- Growth mindset: creative problem solver and demonstrated experience to drive new customer / new market growth
- Brand Stewardship: Proven expertise in building, evolving, and protecting global brands, including experience with rebranding, brand architecture, and reputation management.
- Digital & Data-Driven: Advanced knowledge of digital marketing, data analytics, marketing tools/automation, and CRM systems. Experience leveraging data to optimize campaigns and inform executive decision-making.
- Leadership Excellence: Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional, multicultural teams across geographies.
- Change Agent: Demonstrated ability to lead through change, drive innovation, and adapt to rapidly evolving market conditions and technologies.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a strong asset.
