The Vice President (VP) of Group IT Service & Digital Workplace is a senior leadership position within the Group IT function, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role is responsible for leading and executing IT operations and supporting services, including remote application management, service delivery, and hardware helpdesk support across the organization. The VP will oversee the digital workplace strategy, ensuring that employees have access to the tools and services they need to be productive. This role involves significant personnel management responsibilities, managing operational changes, and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) to meet the organization’s business requirements.

 

About the Role:

  • Serving IT Service Delivery:
    • Oversee the delivery of IT services, including remote applications, service desks, and hardware support.
    • Ensure the smooth operation of IT services, including timely resolution of incidents and fulfillment of service requests.
    • Implement and manage IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools.
  • Digital Workplace Management:
    • Develop and implement a digital workplace strategy that enhances employee productivity and collaboration.
    • Manage the deployment and support of digital tools and platforms, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
    • Monitor and improve the user experience with digital workplace technologies.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Drive continuous improvement in IT operations, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
    • Implement best practices in IT service management, including automation and standardization of processes.
    • Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
  • Change Management:
    • Lead the planning and execution of operational changes, including new service implementations and upgrades.
    • Ensure effective communication and training for users regarding changes to IT services.
    • Minimize disruption and ensure smooth transitions during change initiatives.
  • Service Level Management:
    • Define, negotiate, and manage SLAs with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
    • Monitor service performance against SLAs and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Report on SLA performance and continuously seek ways to improve service delivery. 

 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CSM) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in IT service management or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in managing large-scale IT operations and digital workplace initiatives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital workplace technologies, including remote access solutions, collaboration tools, and hardware support.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations management.
  • Business Knowledge: Understanding of business processes and how IT services support organizational goals.
  • Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and digital workplace technologies.
