We are one of the largest and fastest growing listed European software companies and are looking to further strengthen our R&D and Investment Controlling team. As part of the Global FP&A Team at Nemetschek Group Headquarters in Munich, Germany, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the groupwide R&D and Investment Controlling function. You will define, steer and track meaningful KPIs and dashboards that enable effective and efficient steering and operationalization of R&D expenditures and other investments and thereby continuously design, steer and optimize strategic resource allocation in line with strategic targets.
Your tasks
- Drive the design and implementation of a global R&D and Investment Controlling framework to ensure transparency for effective and efficient steering.
- Collaborate with R&D leadership to continuously ensure a best-of-breed steering system in conjunction with a groupwide KPI framework and common reporting standards.
- Manage groupwide reporting and budgeting processes, including variance analysis of R&D and Investment expenses and performance indicators.
- Partner with Management to shape the global R&D financial strategy, aligning short-term objectives with long-term strategic goals and ensure optimal allocation of resources for aspired short- and long-term value creation
- Provide analytical insights to R&D leaders, challenging bottom-up assumptions around timing, resources, impacts and financial needs.
- Oversee major R&D investments from business case development through to outcome tracking.
- Manage and continuously enhance the standardized investment processes and governance (approval workflows, templates, policies), ensuring transparency, compliance and comparability of investments across the Group.
- Support Leadership as a business partner with the preparation of investment cases (financial modelling, scenarios, ROI/NPV) and actionable decision support for senior management.
- Drive systematic post‑investment follow-up, including KPI and benefits tracking, variance analysis versus business case.
Your Profile
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Controlling, within R&D and/ or product development and excellence functions.
- Experience from working in a global, fast paced matrix organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex topics effectively across departments.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently end-to-end while maintaining focus on objectives and timelines.
- Strong modern analytical tooling skills, as well as advanced Excel skills and Experience working with financial systems (ideally OneStream).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to collaborate with local teams.
