The Head of Market Intelligence is a strategic leader responsible for providing deep market, industry, and competitor insights to shape data-driven decision making across the Nemetschek Group Design Division. Overseeing the function for ALLPLAN, Graphisoft, Vectorworks, Risa, dTwin, Solibri, and dRofus, this pivotal role creates actionable intelligence on emerging trends, competitive threats, customer needs, and commercial opportunities, fueling innovation, growth, and strategic alignment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Build, lead, and inspire a market intelligence team devoted to delivering high-value insight on AEC software markets, competitors, and customer trends for the Design Division.
  • Drive comprehensive market, industry, and competitor research efforts, leveraging primary and secondary sources, advanced analytics, and proprietary modeling.
  • Develop structured processes and methodologies to monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities and threats, ensuring insights are actionable and timely.
  • Partner with executive and senior business leaders on strategic initiatives, business planning, M&A, and portfolio strategy using data-driven market insights.
  • Integrate market intelligence outputs into key product, pricing, and go-to-market processes to enhance decision quality and commercial impact.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of BI platforms, dashboards, and reporting processes to democratize data access and insight sharing across brands.
  • Champion a culture of objective analysis, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing through regular briefings, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Strategy to translate intelligence into market-driven business actions.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters or advanced degree in Business, Market Research, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
  • 7–10 years’ market and competitive intelligence experience, preferably in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology-driven B2B sectors.
  • Proven ability building high-performance teams and leading complex, cross-regional research initiatives.
  • Advanced skills in quantitative and qualitative market research, analytics, modeling, and data visualization.
  • Strong communicator, adept at executive presentations, stakeholder management, and influencing senior decision makers.
  • Knowledge of AEC/BIM software, digital transformation, and innovation trends is preferred.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus (German)
