HR Digitalization Project Manager (m/f/d)

Within our HR Digitalization team, we are looking for a driven and experienced HR Digitalization Project Manager to join us at our headquarters in Munich. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic HR technology initiatives in a dynamic, international environment, working closely with the global Chief People Officer and senior HR leadership. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing HR operations, implementing innovative solutions (including AI), and enhancing the overall employee experience through cutting-edge digitalization projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage HR digitalization initiatives e.g. SAP SF relaunch, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Manage project teams (internal and external), assign responsibilities/tasks, and monitor performance to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee risk management, proactively identifying and addressing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system implementations, integrations, and support, ensuring contract performance and issue resolution (in collaboration with IT).
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal security policies throughout project lifecycles.
- Facilitate effective stakeholder communication incl. negotiations with works councils, ensuring regular updates and managing expectations.
- Support change management initiatives to drive user adoption of new digital tools and processes, including training and communication activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate HR processes, procedures & policies driving operational efficiencies, use of AI and supporting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the People Services Team to drive the operations roadmap.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience managing complex HR digitalization or HR IT projects, preferably in a matrix or multinational environment.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of HR technology platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM), AI technology, process automation, and data analytics solutions.
- Excellent understanding of HR processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and translate business needs into digital solutions.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations (especially GDPR) and experience implementing compliant HR systems.
- Experience working with external vendors and managing service contracts.
- Change management experience and a passion for driving digital adoption and operational excellence.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, SCRUM) is a plus.
- Excellent command of English is required; German is a plus.
