Director of Nemetschek Global Academic Program, EMEA (m/f/d)
Date: Feb 6, 2026
Location: München, DE, 81829
Company: nemetschek
The Nemetschek Group is a pioneer for the digital transformation in the AEC/O industry and focuses on the use of open standards (OPEN BIM). As one of the world's leading groups in this industry, the Nemetschek Group increases the quality in the construction process with its intelligent software solutions and improves the digital workflow of all those involved in the process. As a result, buildings can be planned, built, and operated more efficiently, sustainably and with less impact on resources.
About this Role
The Nemetschek Global Academic Program empowers the next generation of AEC/O leaders with cutting-edge technology that bridges the gap between the classroom and the field. With a focus on nurturing entrepreneurial thinking, scientific rigor and societal responsibility, we partner with universities to position students as future leaders and innovators in the field.
Nemetschek is appointing a senior academic and ecosystem leader to build, scale, and institutionalize its Global Academic Program (NGAP) across EMEA. This is a growth and transformation role, not a stewardship position. The mandate is to move Nemetschek decisively from fragmented academic engagement to systemic academic adoption, embedding Nemetschek solutions into AECO education at institutional scale while aligning multiple brands behind a single execution model.
The Head of NGAP, EMEA operates with executive-level responsibility across strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement. The role is intended for a professional capable of driving structural, not incremental, change — both within academic institutions and across Nemetschek’s internal operating model.
Responsibilities:
Academic Strategy & Market Execution
- Define and execute the EMEA academic growth strategy, aligned with Group and Plan & Design Division priorities
- Own EMEA targets for academic license adoption across Plan & Design brands
- Shift focus from ad-hoc academic access to institutional embedding and scale
Institutional, Faculty & Student Engagement
- Serve as Nemetschek’s senior academic representative across EMEA, engaging with academic institutions, faculty and students across the region
- Establish repeatable models for faculty enablement, curriculum integration, and student activation
- Position Nemetschek solutions as industry-relevant, construction-ready, and interoperable
Brand Alignment & Governance
- Lead alignment with EDU heads across Plan & Design brands (ALLPLAN, Graphisoft, Vectorworks, and others as integrated into NGAP), routinely collaborating with executives across brands, in particular, brand Chief Marketing Officers
- Operate effectively in a matrixed, multi-brand environment, influencing with direct and indirect authority
- Standardize academic licensing frameworks, onboarding pathways, engagement models, and reporting
- Ensure execution discipline while respecting brand autonomy
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years leadership experience in academic programs, education strategy, ecosystem development, workforce enablement or nonprofit organizations
- Proven ability to drive institutional adoption at regional or international scale
- Experience operating within complex, matrixed, or multi-brand organizations
- Track record of credible engagement with senior academic, public-sector, or industry stakeholders
- Experience in AECO, construction technology, design software, engineering, or adjacent sectors is highly relevant.
- Deep understanding of AECO education pathways, curricula, and workforce pipelines preferred
- Comfort operating across diverse regulatory, cultural, and institutional contexts
- Native German proficiency with business-level English required; additional European language skills considered an advantage
- Willingness to travel across EMEA to meet with brand and academic stakeholders
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences in government settings
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, legal, and product management
