The Mobile Staff Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the iOS and Android mobile applications. They will design and implement projects of significant scope and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions that delight our customers. Additionally, this role focuses on accelerating the integration of cross-platform libraries into the apps and guiding the mobile app architecture towards a modular approach. A key aspect of this position is ensuring a consistent approach to app architecture and API integration across both iOS and Android platforms.
About the Role:
- Independently design and implement projects of significant scope.
- Determine root cause for complex software issues and develop efficient, maintainable solutions.
- Use fundamental skills to solve complex problems outside your immediate area of expertise.
- Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
- Help the Bluebeam engineering team continuously improve by bringing ideas to the table, sharing different perspectives, and thinking creatively about solutions.
- Mentor and supervise the work of less senior developers.
- Collaborate with other specialists, including engineers, product managers, and designers, to rapidly iterate on product requirements and UX/UI designs, evaluate scope, understand and communicate trade-offs.
- Ramp up quickly on new complex problems and code bases to the point of significant project contribution.
- Participate in engineering on-call rotation for the iOS and/or Android apps.
About You:
- Technical Skills Required:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of experience in mobile app development.
- 2+ years of native iOS development experience in Swift.
- 2+ years of native Android development experience in Kotlin.
- Experience in using cross-platform libraries to reduce development effort and ensure consistent experience across iOS and Android.
- Experience in building modular app architectures that enable development teams to work independently.
- Experience working in a fully automated CI/CD environment.
- Experience with automated end-to-end testing for mobile.
- Experience leading development efforts for projects of major scope, broken down into manageable milestones.

- A track record of partnering with business and technology team members, to understand requirements and translate them into value-add technology solutions.
- Passion for learning new technologies and expanding capabilities.
- Empathy with customers and the ability to create a delightful user experience.
- A positive mindset, team-oriented, results-driven, and organized.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Familiarity with PDF specification.
- Familiarity with 2D & 3D rendering technologies.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: #153,800 - $211,400
