The Solution Manager collaborates with business leaders to strategize, plan, and execute on solutions that enable their business processes using technology. This position focuses on solutions to multiple functional areas of the business and contributes to continuous improvements for the team.

 

About the Role: 

 

Planning and Analysis

  • Work with stakeholders, business leaders, business process management, product delivery management, and engineering to establish a roadmap for assigned area, considering company objectives, business needs, required business capability and process improvements, production bugs, and technical debt, based on engineering capacity and any constraints, and can articulate it to leadership and the area’s community.
  • Work with stakeholders, business leaders, product delivery management, and engineering to respond to any important/urgent business needs that arise in the assigned area. Facilitate tradeoffs and re-prioritization discussions and adjust the roadmap.
  • Work with business leaders to establish a release plan for assigned areas based on the roadmap.
  • Work with the Go-to-Market (GTM) program on any releases for assigned areas requiring a GTM Plan and serve as the GTM Plan Owner for those plans up to launch.
  • Establish the necessary dashboards/public shares to publish the roadmap and release plan for the assigned areas, including progress.
  • Work with business process management to evaluate the health of business capabilities and processes and plan out any necessary improvements for assigned areas.
  • Establish a clearly defined and refined planning backlog of initiatives and epics for assigned areas, aligned to the roadmap and adherent to solution and backlog best practice standards.

Execution

  • Work with Product Delivery Management to establish a Delivery Plan for the assigned area based on a roadmap, inclusive of business need analysis and requirements, product development, UAT, business training and education, and deployments, and can articulate it to leadership and the area’s community.
  • Work with Product Delivery Management to establish the necessary dashboards/public shares to publish the Delivery Plan and Release/Deployment Plan for the assigned area, including progress.
  • Analyze complex business problems from roadmap Initiatives and Epics by understanding the needs of business leaders in the assigned area, facilitating discussions, documenting, analyzing, ideating, and devising solutions, and adhering to solution best practice standards.
  • Works with business leaders to write thorough business requirements for roadmap Initiatives and Epics for assigned areas, adhering to backlog best practice standards.
  • Work with Engineering to ensure business requirements are translated into technical solutions for assigned areas. Facilitate presenting solutions to business leaders for agreement, adhering to solution best practice standards.
  • Work with Product Delivery Management and Engineering to break down roadmap Epics into tickets (e.g., Stories), adhering to backlog best practice standards.
  • Participate in relevant Agile ceremonies for assigned areas (Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective).
  • Establish a clearly defined and refined Product Backlog of Initiatives, Epics, and Tickets (e.g., Stories, Bugs) for assigned areas, adhering to backlog best practice standards.
  • Work with Product Delivery Management and Engineering to establish a Deployment Plan based on the Release Plan for the assigned area, documenting and communicating release notes containing the intent and contents of each release.
  • Develop user training and education documentation for upcoming releases in assigned areas, facilitating train-the-trainer sessions and providing ongoing support, as needed, to ensure business leaders understand and effectively utilize the solutions.
  • Develop UAT documentation for upcoming releases in assigned areas, lead UAT, work with Product Delivery Management and Engineering to ensure bugs are resolved, and work with business leaders to reach an agreement on UAT completion.
  • Work with business leaders, Product Delivery Management, and Engineering to coordinate upcoming releases/deployments for assigned areas, assisting in qualifying a successful release/deployment.
  • Facilitate the closure of all roadmap Initiatives and Epics for the assigned area to ensure that implemented solutions satisfied in-scope business needs, adhering to solution best practice standards.

Leadership

  • Serve as the leader for assigned areas, managing stakeholder and business leader expectations, providing all necessary information, communicating, ensuring transparency, keeping the community well-informed at all times, gaining approvals when necessary, managing change, and representing the area in meetings and forums.
  • Work with stakeholders, business leaders, and Business Process Management to align on and gain a shared understanding of the business capability & process model for assigned area.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives and lead the achievement of KPI targets (Coverage Index, Quality Index, Effectiveness Index, Efficiency Index, and Stakeholder Satisfaction) for assigned areas, ensuring all necessary data has been collected and rolled up.
  • Participate in identifying, planning, defining, and implementing Continuous Improvements for assigned areas.
  • Participate in implementing continuous improvements for the team, including improving the team charter, goals and objectives, service offerings, KPIs, dashboards/public shares, processes (strategy, planning, execution), role definitions, and solution and backlog best practice standards.

Strategy

  • Work with stakeholders, business leaders, and Business Process Management to establish a strategy for the assigned area, considering company objectives, business needs, and required business capability and process improvements, and can articulate it to leadership and the area’s community.
  • Establish the necessary dashboards/public shares to publish the strategy for the assigned areas, inclusive of progress.
  • Lead ad hoc analysis efforts to address challenges or opportunities arising in the assigned area, document and communicate final results, and ensure an action plan is established as necessary.

 

About You: 

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Prior experience servicing 2 Functional Areas (e.g. Direct Sales, Order-to-Cash, Data Operations).
  • Prior experience taking on 2-3 team continuous improvements parallel to functional assignments.
  • Performing role with moderate direction and guidance.
  • Business Acumen (Sales, Marketing, Finance, People, Operations)
  • Technical Expertise (ERP, CRM)
  • Industry Awareness (ERP, CRM, Business Process Management)
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Agile Methodologies
  • Tools (Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, SmartSheet, Microsoft Office, Aris)

 

Specific Education or Certifications Required: (Meeting all of these is not mandatory, but it is preferred to have some)

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $125,700 - $157,100
