We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Industry Development Manager (Subcontractor/Trades), starting with MEP, to target specific market segments with an entrepreneurial approach. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in understanding sector ecosystems, competitive environments, market channels, relationships, customer workflows, pain points, and value propositions.
The Senior Industry Development Manager will develop a comprehensive plan for sector growth, creating an environment for success and working within a matrixed organization to influence product and go-to-market (GTM) decisions and priorities. Building customer intimacy at both project and executive levels is crucial, ensuring deep engagement with leading customers and innovators. This role involves creating growth plans for key Trade Contractors/Subcontractors segments and developing a repeatable process to shorten cycle times. The initial focus area will be MEP, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Trades, with future expansion to additional segments.

Key Responsibilities
Business Planning & Execution
- Working with market researchers, develop a rationale for the priority of specific segments and trades.
- Designs a comprehensive market sector plan based on business priority
- Develops resource plans and checklists for entering & expanding our Sector presence
- Monitors progress via our KPIs identifies opportunities for corrective action and recommends change as needed
Market Intelligence
- Creates and documents understanding of local Sector requirements and industry nuance to guide product and GTM teams
- Collaborates with product teams to prioritize features and assets to grow the local sector
- Analyze competitive solutions to find and document opportunities to drive competitive differentiation with our products
GTM Team Enablement
- Provide industry and technical insights to the internal marketing, sales, and customer success teams as well as partner teams to enhance their effectiveness.
- Acts as an evangelist for Bluebeam in assigned segments in support of sales, marketing, and channel partner teams
- Works closely with early “lighthouse” customers and innovators to generate case studies and referenceable contacts
- Fosters cross-selling opportunities and new user adoption for other Nemetchek divisional & group brands and solutions
Thought Leadership
- Identify and establish partnerships with strategic professional Industry associations within this sector.
- Increases share of voice for Bluebeam in local market segments through speaking, writing, blogs, webcasts, and other earned methods.
Innovation & Product Engagement
- Identifies workflows and customer value propositions that set Bluebeam apart from competitors.
- Collaborates with product teams to communicate the customer challenges and identify drivers of willingness-to-pay that expand the opportunity to both impact customer operations and grow our business.
- Networks with innovative startups impacting the segment and connects with Bluebeam and sister company partner programs and identifies potential investment opportunities.
About You:
- Over 10 years of senior-level experience in creating, marketing, and/or selling technical software.
- Experience or affiliation within the MEP industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the AECO industry.
- Demonstrates a global mindset and strong business acumen.
- Exhibits executive presence and is skilled in business case development.
- Experience in sales and support of technical solutions.
- Comfortable with public speaking and representing the company.
- Excels in presentation development and has a proven ability to influence both internally and externally.
- Adept at building strong relationships.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Base salary range for this position is $153,800 – $192,300
