About the Role:
The Senior Data Engineer partners with multiple teams to source, extract, transform, and store data to be used for operational and analytics needs. This role will also manage all necessary ETL, data warehousing, integrations, and data architecture/infrastructure to support operational and analytics initiatives. This role serves and works cross-functionally with global partners, BIAs, Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, and CS Operations.
- Partners with the Business Intelligence Analysts, Operations teams, Administrative teams, and Product/Engineering teams to assess and define data needs
- Works with business system owners to understand the flow of data in systems
- Designs, implements, and manages appropriate data ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations
- Builds and maintains necessary data architecture (including databases or data warehouses) to support BI initiatives
- Monitors data infrastructure performance, ensuring constant availability and uptime
- Research data architecture best practices and recommend changes that may benefit Bluebeam
- Suggests solutions to improve data integrity and processes to drive more efficiency and scalability
- Mentors teammates
- Leads projects from conception to completion
About You:
- Senior-level experience in a data management role, specifically in a data engineering type role
- Expertise in scalable solutions for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud data platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Lakehouses, Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, and Real-Time Analytics.
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
- Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, Parquet, and other big data frameworks.
- Strong SQL (T-SQL, query optimization) and familiarity with NoSQL (e.g., Cosmos DB).
- Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and scripting.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and automated deployment of data solutions.
- Strong understanding of GDPR, HIPAA, RBAC, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Event Hubs, or Service Bus for event-driven architectures.
- Ability to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and drive efficiencies.
- Skilled in leading projects, managing stakeholders, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Experience mentoring engineers, fostering best practices, and developing talent.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Base salary range for this position is $129,400 - $161,800
