The Security Engineer is hands-on in securing infrastructure and networks, responding to and managing security alerts, and working cross-functionally to drive security initiatives with other teams. The position requires expertise in network, server, and/or endpoint security. This may include experience managing firewalls, VPN/ Zero Trust remote access infrastructure, web proxy/ SWG, endpoint protection software, and/or SIEM.

 

About the Role

  • Administers security tools and technologies
  • Evaluate and respond to security alerts, and tuning false positives as needed
  • Develops and/or implements tools and playbooks to assist in the detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats
  • Performs vulnerability scans and provides remediation guidance and prioritization to other teams
  • Implements Zero Trust remote access and securing Bluebeam endpoints for remote work
  • Reviews and approves firewall and web proxy policy changes in conjunction with IT and engineering teams

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Security, or 5 years of experience in Systems Administration with security responsibilities
  • Experience with network and infrastructure vulnerability management
  • Experience with SIEM administration
  • Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxies, and content-filtering technologies
  • The ability to take a risk-based approach to security
  • The ability to communicate security risk issues to peers and management

Bonus points 

  • Experience with SOAR and other security automation
  • Experience with Zero Trust remote access deployments
  • Experience with the Cisco technology suite
  • Experience with the Microsoft technology suite especially Active Directory/GPOs
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is $125,700 - $150,000.
