At Bluebeam, we empower people to advance the way the world is built. We create smart software solutions that make construction sites more efficient, connected, and safe and improve the lives of design and construction professionals everywhere.
The Product Manager is responsible for delivering intelligent, connected workflows that reduce manual effort for AEC professionals. The role owns a defined feature set within Bluebeam's collaboration and integrations portfolio, with particular emphasis on applying AI and automation to the problems customers face every day. It translates customer needs and product usage data into clear, buildable requirements, partners daily with engineering and design to deliver them, and validates that what ships measurably improves how customers work. The role contributes evidence-based recommendations to the portfolio roadmap and supports the go-to-market activities required to put new capabilities in customers' hands.
About the Role:
- Owns a defined feature set end to end, from problem definition through release and adoption measurement
- Writes product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can act on without rework
- Identifies where AI and automation can remove manual steps from customer workflows, and defines the requirements for those capabilities including data inputs, expected model behavior, failure modes, and the controls users need to stay in charge of the outcome
- Applies AI tools to day-to-day product work, including synthesizing research, prototyping concepts, drafting requirements, and analyzing customer feedback at volume, and shares effective practices with the wider product team
- Partners daily with engineering and design within an Agile/Scrum environment, refining the backlog and making scope trade-offs as delivery progresses
- Prioritizes competing requirements including features, bugs, and technical debt, working continually with the scrum team to refine and add detail where needed
- Conducts customer interviews and usability sessions, and synthesizes what is heard into themes and recommendations rather than raw notes
- Analyzes product usage data to size problems, prioritize work, and evaluate whether shipped features achieved their intended outcome
- Reads API documentation and documents data flows and system dependencies to inform integration and workflow decisions
- Contributes to roadmap planning with evidence, clearly framed options, and a recommendation
- Monitors industry, competitive, and AI technology trends, and brings the relevant findings back into product direction for the portfolio
- Defines and helps deliver the go-to-market elements required to roll out owned features, including release notes, demos, internal training, and enablement materials
- Works cross functionally to represent stakeholder groups inside and outside the company when building technical and business requirements
- Identifies improvements to existing product processes; develops a strong understanding of Bluebeam's processes and technology
About You:
- Ability to turn an ambiguous problem into a scoped, testable set of work that a team can start on with confidence
- Ability to give a product area a point of view clear enough that engineering, design, and go-to-market can make their own decisions from it, and that visibly connects to the broader portfolio strategy
- Ability to make technically sound product decisions about data flows, APIs, and service-to-application dependencies, so that engineering time is spent building rather than correcting the plan
- Ability to work at a higher rate of output by using AI tools well: research synthesized in hours rather than weeks, concepts prototyped before engineering capacity is committed, and customer feedback analyzed at a volume manual reading cannot reach
- Ability to distinguish where AI meaningfully improves a workflow from where it does not, so that investment goes toward capabilities customers trust and keep using
- Ability to reach decisions that hold up under scrutiny by grounding them in both usage data and direct customer evidence
- Ability to arrive at a validated understanding of a customer problem before engineering commits to solving it
- Ability to resolve scattered internal and external feedback into a clear narrative and an actionable path forward that stakeholders align behind
- Ability to write requirements and updates that leave readers with the understanding that was intended, without a round of follow-up clarification
- Ability to hold stakeholder confidence in the room, including when the news is unwelcome or the answer is not yet known
- Ability to keep a scrum team supplied with well understood work so that delivery does not stall waiting on decisions
- Ability to surface and sequence cross-team dependencies early enough that they do not become delivery risks
- Ability to build and offer authentic trust
- Ability to own a scope of work independently, seeking coaching where it accelerates the outcome and following through without reminders
