The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) creates high-quality, interactive learning and certification content by leveraging the latest technology and adult learning theory for a highly variable AEC customer base. They have in-depth, specialized knowledge of learning design and theories, and a passion for delivering a world-class customer education experience.  

 

The position is responsible for expanding the scope of customer education offerings. It collaborates with all members of the Global Services team to align instructional content across our instructor-led training, consulting, and e-learning divisions, identifying and filling gaps in customer knowledge. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Responds to business needs by conducting needs analyses and recommending appropriate actions based on findings. 
  • Creates learning content and experiences that are credible, engaging, relevant and accessible with set instructional goals.  
  • Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate and builds out courses in our LMS. 
  • Creates modes of assessment, such as Knowledge Checks, tests or quizzes, and certification programs to measure the effectiveness of the content. 
  • Works with internal subject matter experts to collect content, identify objectives, design course interactions, develop storyboards, and create assessments. 
  • Serves as a cross-functional partner to the Professional Services team by collaborating on learning content creation as well as aligning past courses across teams. 
  • Analyzes target audience and program needs, identify learning objectives, and create a thoughtful learning experience for our AEC customer base.  
  • Conducts thoughtful and curious research to better understand and speak to our customers.  
  • Maintains project documentation and course folders. 
  • Creates effective train-the-trainer programs. 
  • Applies project management standards that keep their project contributors on task and keep outside teams informed.

About You:

  • 3+ years of learning experience design or instructional design experience, preferably in Customer Education at a SaaS company. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of training experience (online, classroom, etc.).
  • Advanced administrator of learning management systems. 
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design theories, e-learning methodologies, and curriculum development (SAM, ADDIE, etc.).
  • Experience with in-app guidance, using software such as Pendo.
  • Advanced experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator. 
  • Superb writing and editing skills.
  • Highly proficient with publishing tools and software applications (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Ability to create graphic assets and produce high-quality visual material.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and details across wide range of technical audiences. 
  • Basic coding for web (HTML, CSS, Javascript). 
  • Ability to edit audio assets and record voiceover a plus.
  • Data analysis and UX experience required.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Base salary range for this position is $74,900 – $93,600.
