The Data Engineering Manager manages the people, processes, and infrastructure that supports the data to be used for operational BI and analytics needs. The Data Engineering Manager is responsible for all necessary ETL, data warehousing, integrations, and data architecture/infrastructure in Microsoft Fabric to support operational and analytics initiatives.  This role serves and works cross-functionally with BI Managers, Product Engineering, Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, and CS Operations.

 

About the Role

  • Mentors and develops direct reports.
  • Creates, modifies, and manages team processes to ensure high-quality deliverables and service.
  • Review direct reports’ work products to ensure high integrity.
  • Partners with the BI Managers, Operations teams, Administrative teams, and Product/Engineering teams to assess and define data needs
  • Designs implements, and manages appropriate data infrastructure for data pipelines and integrations
  • Builds and maintains necessary and secure data architecture (including databases or data warehouses) to support BI initiatives
  • Monitors data infrastructure performance, ensuring constant availability and uptime
  • Researches data architecture and data governance best practices and recommends changes that may benefit Bluebeam
  • Suggests solutions to improve data integrity and to processes to drive more efficiency and scalability
  • Leads projects from conception to completion

About You

  • Mid to Senior-level experience in a data management role
  • People Management experience

  • Strong experience in data warehousing, integrations, ETL/ELT, data management, and data governance
  • Enterprise data architecture expertise

  • Professional maturity
  • Experience with the following:
    • SQL experience required (like postgreSQL, T-SQL, MySQL, etc)
    • ETL/ELT experience required (like Informatica, Azure Data Factory, etc)
    • Cloud data warehousing experience required (like Azure SQL, AWS Redshift, GCP Big Query, Snowflake, etc)
    • API querying experience required

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $125,700 - $157,100
